At the end of the 1980s House music hit the shores of the UK and David was one of a hand full of British musicians to pick up the style of music, his first release was on Chill Records a label co formed with Patric Cargill of the Unique 3 (Patrick Cargill, Ian Park, and latter Edzy and Delroy Brown) the track was called The Theme, however Davids contribution was little known until around 2007 as he worked under the alias name of The Mad Musician. The Theme is widely regarded as the first independen white lable record of the underground dance scene in the UK to get picked up by a major record label, it was heard at the infamous Club Hacienda in Manchester England by Virgins (10 records).
