Vinyl Future are a six-piece progressive rock group based in Glasgow. Formed in 2006, the band consists of four core, founding members: Jamie Blanche (Vocals), Craig McArthur (Guitars, Vocals, Programming), Thomas Moore (Guitars, Vocals) and Gary Pollock (Guitars, Programming).

The bands sound incorporates many strong and diverse influences, which have been sculpted into an amalgam of progressive rock, metal, classic rock, modern alternative rock and atmospheric shoe-gaze . From this the band craft epic, moody soundscapes; reminiscent of the post-Radiohead era; in conjunction with more complex and technically demanding musical passages. This can see the band seamlessly switch from subtle ambient textures to full-on aural carnage, within a single track.

The band has just finished recording their first EP ‘Airport Syndrome.’ The five track EP will be released in the autumn of 2008. It will be available on CD or from iTunes.
